10.26.14 HeadshotMatt May (Co-Author & Producer) In 2009, Matt founded Verve Central Productions to provide quality entertainment and services to its clients and audiences through special events & entertainment, theatrical production, creative & business consulting, and education.  

Through the company’s team building division, Premier Team Building & Interactive Experiences, collaborative programs are delivered to clients nation-wide and internationally.  Matt has produced and facilitated hundreds of large and small-group experiences.  As the company’s president, he is responsible for the design & development of its team building experiences, overseeing the production and facilitation of these programs, customer support, and staff training.

Special event services have been provided for companies such as the national Broadway tours of HAMILTON and THE BOOK OF MORMON, Thomson-Reuters, The Curtiss Mansion, The Miami Jewish Film Festival, The Miami Gay Men’s Chorus, Winter Party Festival, The Katonah-Lewisboro School District, and private firms and individuals throughout the country.

May has served as a theatrical producer, director, manager, administrator, educator, and consultant for various live entertainment & theatrical organizations, including Norwegian Cruise Line, Broadway Across America, Arté Diem (international cirque-theatrical company), JDZ Productions, La Vie Productions, Second Stage Theatre (NYC), Daryl Roth Theatre (NYC), Writers & Artists Talent Agency (NYC), Camp Broadway (NYC), New World School of the Arts (Miami, FL), Zoetic Stage at the Adrienne Arsht Center (Miami, FL), and national theatrical tours.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Theatre Arts and Arts Administration, and a Master of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Arts.

Jen headshotJennifer Sierra-Grobbelaar (Co-Author & Producer) is the Director of Marketing for Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Previously, she has spent 10 years as the Marketing and Media Relations Director for Cirque Dreams. Prior to that, her theatrical administration career blossomed at Broadway Across America in various capacities including National Subscription Ticketing Manager, Parker Playhouse Venue Operations Manager, Education Liaison with Florida Theatrical Association and Public Relations & Marketing Operations Director for events throughout the state of Florida. She was an Associate Producer of both Cirque Dreams Broadway commemorating Broward Center’s 20th Anniversary and WE…The Passion and Rhythm of the People, the culminating event of Broward 100’s Duende Centennial Celebration directed by Neil Goldberg. With her friend and writing partner Matt May, Jenn is the Co-Creator & Co-Producer of Diego & Drew Say I Do which held its World Premiere at Broward Center for the Performing Arts Spring 2016 and received a Silver Palm Award for Outstanding Interactive Theatrical Experience. Together in 2017, they co-produced the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Silver Palm Awards. She received a Remy Award in 2016 from the Theater League of South Florida for Service to the Arts and in 2018, she received the Charlie Cinnamon Award for her significant contributions the arts in South Florida and dedicated service to the Carbonell Awards.

John Manzelli (Original Director) John is an acclaimed Actor/Director/Artistic Director who performed throughout the United States with many of the country’s top regional theatres. Last season, John was part of the inaugural series in the Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in his wildly successful production of Fully Committed. He is proud to have helmed Miami’s City Theatre as Producing Artistic Director since 2011. In addition to directing Summer Shorts: America’s Short Play Festival, John is extremely proud to have produced a series of socially conscious / issue-based programs that center on the issues, challenges, and inspiration of the LGBT and Progressive community. Under this series, John has produced / directed Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays (starring Bryan Batt and Bruce Vilanch), Shorts Gone Wild 1-3 (short play festival) and the extremely successful musical cabaret Dirty Little Secrets, starring Emmy Winner Jai Rodriguez.

Prior to joining City Theatre, John served as Associate Artistic Director of the award-winning Naked Stage Company (which he co-founded). Under his leadership, Naked Stage was awarded a Silver Palm Award for Best Emerging Theatre Company (2009) and a Visionary Award from Miami-Artzine Magazine for the creation of South Florida’s 24 Hour Theatre Project. In addition to his achievements as a director, John is an accomplished  Lighting Designer, having won the 2010 Carbonell Award for his design for Macon City, by Marco Ramirez. John recently portrayed the recurring role of Sol Drucker on TV’s Magic City (STARZ). Additionally, he has appeared on television in Burn Notice, The Glades, Graceland and Third Watch, amongst others. John is a member of the Society of American Fight Directors, The Screen Actor’s Guild, & The Actor’s Equity Association. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from Illinois State and proudly serves as an Associate Professor of Theatre at Barry University.

akademia_zespol-12Maciej Osada-Sobczynski (Original Compositions, Musical Arrangements, & Recordings) is an internationally-recognized composer, arranger, and pianist. A graduate of the Music Academy in Lodz, Poland, he earned a degree in music theory and composition. Maciej has composed, arranged, and recorded music for over 30 theater productions. He has arranged music for a variety of international ensembles, including work for piano soloists, string quartets, small bands, and major symphony orchestra concerts. The Vice President of Pro-Muzz Jazz Association in Koszalin, Poland, Osada-Sobczynski remains active as a jazz pianist, and as half of a duo, with his wife, Ewa Osada-Sobczynski.  Together, they have toured the world, entertaining and enlightening audiences with their blend of music and humor.  With Ewa, Maciej is the co-founder of OsadaArt.com.
